Sun 12 Jul 2009 01:26:39 PM EDTHalifax Harbour is home to many boats, ships, sailboats, tug boats as well as the Canadian Navy, so battleship are always seen around. In addition, many tankers and fishing boats can often be spotted. A beautiful old lighthouse can also be seen within the channel.

Sun 12 Jul 2009 01:56:04 PM EDTIf it is not raining when you arrive in Halifax, you probably are not in Halifax. Halifax, as well as the rest of Nova Scotia, has rainy weather constantly. Overcast is mainstay weather here, but the rain does not always stay around all day. There are many breaks during the rains and the weather can often can very nice, but not too hot in the summer months, July and August. The winters are harsh, similar to the rest of Canada..

Numerous great university's, including Dalhousie are found in Nova Scotia.
