Halifax is the capital of the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is a fairly large city, with a population of around 400,000. Initially, the entry point of the majority of all immigrants from Europe as well as from around the world in the past, as it was Canada's major port. Currently, Halifax is the home to the Canadian Navy and a lrage fraction of its shipping and ocean industry. A great place to visit and enjoy nature and the East Coast at its best!

The town clock sits on citadel hill and can be seen from most places within Halifax. It is green and white, and the clock can be read from all directions. At the end of Brunswick street, the town clock was constructed on October 20, 1803 by Prince Edward, commander-in-chief of the British Forces within North America to keep his soldiers on time.

Citadel Hill is a hill in Halifax around 80 meters above sea level, which watches over Halifax, Halifax Harbour and the peninsula. This strategic point was where the British military built a fortress to protect the city of Halifax. Today, you can go view the fortress for around $12 Canadian dollars. The fort has a star-shape, which is described as a citadel. Formally known as Fort George, Citadel hill is a fun attraction and should be seen if in Halifax. Actors portray soldiers and military life within the fort.

Dartmouth is a subburb of Halifax. Dartmouth lies across the channel and access is through a bridge. The transit system also allows access to Dartmouth.

The Flag of Canada is represented by two red stripes at its horder with a single red maple leaf in the centre surrounded by white. The flag of Canada can be seen ontop of the citadel in Halifax.

The Boardwalk of Halifax is a great and fun place to go,, with many great restaurants offering seafood and lobster at great prices, as well as many museums, such as the Canadian Nautical Museum, which has information on the Titanic. Also a great place to take a stroll with a loved one, a friend or your family. A lof of places to purchase souveniers and tickets to sailboats, boat rides and fishing trips.
